How we deliver
The Triton Vetting Process
Every RED SKY search runs on the same proprietary method: define the role below the job description, hunt beyond the boards, and prove each candidate against a senior practitioner before a client sees a resume.
Built with a business psychology and human interaction advisory firm and refined with Lean Six Sigma principles, Triton runs under all four RED SKY solutions and is the reason our placements hold.
The search is defined before it starts.
A search that opens on a job description alone fills slowly and fails late. We meet with the hiring leader and the people the role will serve, set the technical bar and the scope, and then go below the water line for the qualities that decide whether a hire lasts. That brief becomes the standard every candidate is measured against for the rest of the engagement.
- 1.1 Role definition session Qualifications, technical requirements, scope, and reporting lines agreed with the hiring leader, in writing, before sourcing begins.
- 1.2 Third Dimension Litmus Test Our structured method for identifying the intangible competencies that define fit inside a specific team and culture.
- 1.3 Benchmark targeting Benchmark companies and adjacent talent sources named up front, so the search starts where the right people already work.
- 1.4 Market brief Research on the client's industry, culture, and location becomes the work-up document that attracts qualified candidates and screens out the wrong ones.
Above the lineWhat a resume proves
- Certifications
- Tools and platforms
- Tenure
- Titles held
- Industry exposure
Below the lineWhat Triton tests
- Judgment under pressure
- How they lead and how they follow
- Communication with boards and engineers
- Ownership of outcomes
- Fit with the team that already exists
The right candidate is usually not applying anywhere.
So the search goes to them. Sourcing, lead generation, and recruiting are separate specialist functions at RED SKY, and all three work the same requisition in parallel. Direct identification, our own network of pre-vetted specialists, referrals, partner firms, and passive-candidate outreach run at once, which is how a shortlist exists while other firms are still waiting on applications.
- 2.1 Three specialist functions per search Dedicated sourcing, lead generation, and recruiting specialists, collaborating on one requisition rather than one recruiter doing all three.
- 2.2 Direct candidate identification Name generation against the benchmark targets from discovery. We find the person, then make contact.
- 2.3 Proprietary pre-vetted network A RED SKY network of 28,000+ IT and security specialists, maintained in our own Bullhorn instance and screened before a role ever opens.
- 2.4 Bench strength analysis Internal review of consultants already known to us and available, so proven people surface first.
- 2.5 Referral program and partner firms A rewarded candidate referral program plus long-standing partner relationships that extend reach into markets we do not cover directly.
- 2.6 Passive candidate outreach Direct, personal contact with people who are employed and not looking, through professional networks, industry communities, and the phone.
- 2.7 Three always in play Backup candidates presented alongside the lead, so a declined offer costs the client days rather than a restart.
Proven before presented.
No candidate reaches a client on a resume alone. Each one clears a multi-stage assessment covering technical proficiency, the Third Dimension Litmus Test from discovery, and full verification. The go or no-go call is ours to make, and we make it before the client spends an hour interviewing.
- 3.1 Beat the Expert technical screen A senior RED SKY practitioner in the same discipline tests the candidate against the actual demands of the role, not a keyword list.
- 3.2 In-depth phone screen Motivation, availability, compensation expectations, and the first read on fit against the discovery brief.
- 3.3 In-depth interview In person or by video, structured around the role brief and the intangibles the hiring leader named.
- 3.4 Technical skills testing Hands-on validation where the role calls for it, scored against the requirements set in stage one.
- 3.5 Third Dimension Litmus Test, second pass The cultural-fit read from discovery applied to a real person, with the hiring leader's own criteria as the scorecard.
- 3.6 Verification Reference checks, background checks, and drug screening where the client requires it, completed before submittal, not after an offer.
Measurable results
What Triton produces after the hire
A vetting process is only as good as the placements it leaves behind. These are the figures RED SKY tracks on every engagement, and they are the reason contract extensions and long tenures are the norm rather than the exception.
Extension figures are approximate and reflect contract and contract-to-hire placements. Executive and direct-hire outcomes are reported per engagement and available on request.
Where Triton runs
One method under all four RED SKY solutions.
For hiring leaders
Put Triton on the next search.
One discovery conversation sets the technical bar, the intangibles, and the timeline. The first shortlist follows with three candidates in play and the evidence attached.
For senior practitioners
Triton works in the candidate's favor too.
A role defined properly before it opens, a confidential process, and a hiring leader who has already agreed on what fit means. Candidates vetted this way walk into interviews where the answer is already close to yes.
